Some of us have it easy in (almost) everything.
Even before we close one door of one phase of life, another one opens up and we effortlessly walk in. There is sunshine everywhere. Whatever we need just drops before us.
We finish school and the dream job is there calling. We meet people and they turn out to fall one trait short of angels. We start a relationship and it ends up being breathtaking and leads to where we want. We start businesses and everybody turns out to be in great need of what we are offering. We venture into something and the name soars surpassing our expectations. Call it luck or fate. If this is your life, well and good. Struggling doesn’t add to the validity of results.
Some of have rarely have easy moments. Some of us have to work twice as hard to get half as much. In fact, a question about a time when life was easy makes us break down because they are rare or we can’t even mention one event.
We have to fight really really hard our way through life. Fight has been our way of life since birth and there is no sign of it ending any time soon. Back-breaking and soul-crushing fight. Our paths are paved with challenges that never seem to end. We have to fight to make it to and in school, to figure out what the dream job/business is, how to get it, and stay in it. We have to fight to start a business and keep it, to rise from the background to the spotlight. Maybe it’s fate, maybe not.
If this is your life, it can be hard to not hate the other group. But what’s the point? The fighter in you has to keep fighting. (s)he has crushed many walls and will keep doing so.
